I am part of G4G and I too am a grand parent raising grandchildren. Actually I am a great grand mom to the 2 children I am raising. Your article has touch a soft spot for me. Grandparents are raising their grandchildren with little or no financial help from anyone. Me, I am raising them on MY own Social Security. One parent is deceased from an overdose and the other parent is missing. Grandparents are the forgotten generation, the disposable generation, we have unmet needs and NO ONE cares. As long as we are willing to take in our own Grandchildren we are saving DHS big money. If we were foster parents we could receive $900. per month, per…
